15 Exceptionally Outstanding Law Students in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma

In our quest to upholding and contributing to our belief system of promoting quality and quantity in the society, the 4GINFOMEDIA has offered a special recognition to 15 outstanding law students in the prestigious Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria, in what it has termed “4G AWARDS”, a particular initiative that is set to serve and recognize the common good of humanity. This is just a beginning for us at 4GINFOMEDIA.

The assessment is for the 2021/2022 Academic Session of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma based on the performances and good disposition of the candidates for the recognition. Their hard works so far in building themselves, going on about their daily activities; extracurricular and academics, have brought them this recognition.

With no special order of arrangement, below is the list of our candidates and their obtained true profile for the meritorious recognition as at the time of assessment in April, 2023. Also find attached, an eBook:

Joan Edegbai

Joan Edegbai

Joan is a 500 Level Law Student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. She has pitched her tent in four distinct areas pertinent to the ladder of legal success; advocacy, writing, leadership and networking.

In the advocacy route, Joan has held several positions ranging from the Director of moot and mock of the Moot society, Secretary of the Bola Adekanle Campus Chambers, Deputy Director of the Editorial Board of the Chambers, Counsel in the office of the Attorney General of SUG and others. Most significant of all, is the position of the Moot society President where she organized the first National Moot and Mock competition hosted by the society which saw the participation of 18 law faculties across Nigeria. Joan has represented the faculty in several moot court competitions including debate competitions where she was first runner up in a British Parliamentary debate organized by the Nigerian Debating Society.

In the route of writing, Joan has won the position of finalist in two significant National Essay competitions in Nigeria organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and NIMASA, respectively.

Lastly, in the line of leadership and networking, Joan has led a team as president of the moot society to Abuja for the MANFRED Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition. Joan organized seminars and workshops as president of the moot society particularly to help breed the next set of fierce advocates. Her top notch networking skills earned her an internship spot in one of the best tier-one Law firms in Nigeria.

Lydia is a 400 level Student of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. She is current Principal Counsel at Bola Adekanle Campus Chamber, Head of Department at the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) arm of the Law Clinic. Lydia is a counsel to the Office of Attorney General, Students Union Government, Ambrose Alli University. A Solicitor in the Ambrose Alli University Student Bar (and best in Civil Procedure in the last Law Bar Examination).

A one time Deputy Editor at Bola Adekanle Campus Chamber; Counsel to the office of the Attorney general, Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University. Former Chief Research Officer of the Ambrose Alli University Law Bar Association; Ambrose Alli University Campus Representative of the Federation of African Law Students (FALAS), Secretary of the Federation of African Law Students (FALAS), Zonal Representative, South-south Nigeria; A one time member of the Electoral Monitoring committee, Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University; and Chairman Law Bar Electoral Committee.


She has represented the faculty and the university at large in several competitions including the annual Eyitayo Jegede Moot & Mock Competition; The first ever Catholic Law Students Association (CALSAN) Moot Competition; The Battle for Lord Advocate 1.0; Sylva Ogwemoh National Moot and Mock Competition; Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Inter chamber Moot Competition, All Nigerian Universities Debating Championship (ANUDC), Moot Society Face-off; Covenant University Invitationals Debating Championship.

She had hosted and organized two seminars under the office of Head of Department ADR, and published one article in the faculty.

Joy is a year 4 law student of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. Joy has keen interest in Intellectual Property Law, Tech law, Human right law, Banking Law and Energy law. She is a purpose driven leader and she believes that everyone can achieve anything as long as such person works towards it.

She has served in several positions in her local chapter and at various student organizations. She was formerly the Director of Information and Technology of the Intellectual Property Law Club, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and also she is currently the Director of Research of the said club. As an active member of FALAS (Federation of African Law Students), she served as one of the Director of Communications. She has also served as the vice president of the Academic and Editorial committee at Diverse Law; an organization driven to expand the horizon of law students and lawyers. She is a student counsel and one of the pioneering solicitors produced by the Ambrose Alli University Law Bar Association.

Asides from being a law student; Joy is also a unique content writer and a social media manager. She helps brands and busy bosses drive the necessary visibility they need online using captivating words. Joy loves writing, reading, travelling and exploring.

Kabiru is an LLB Part 4 student of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State who has so much passion in law and advocacy. Kabiru is a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for learning and personal growth. He is a natural problem solver and loves taking on new challenges. He has a keen eye for detail and always looking for ways to improve processes and streamline workflows. His excellent communication skills makes him a valuable team player, and he thrives in collaborative environments. Kabiru has earned so many leadership positions and very few are outlined below:

Kabiru is the Lord Advocate Emeritus of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University and was awarded the meritorious, coveted and revered rank of Senior Advocate of Ambrose Alli University in 2022 while in his 3rd year, a rank conferred on Students’ advocates who have distinguished themselves in the area of legal practice and court room advocacy. Kabiru is a seasoned advocate. His prowess in the court room has earned him incredible amount of commendations, awards and laurels in different competitions he has participated in. He has led and initiated real live cases at the Student Union Courts on campus.

Amongst other things, Kabiru is also an academic scholar per excellence who has keen interest in Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law and International Law.

Adamidenyo is a 500 Level Law student at the faculty of law Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo state. He bags a diploma in law certificate from the faculty of law at the Delta State University (DELSU), Oleh campus(2015). He’s currently an Honourable Justice of the Student Union Government Supreme Court.

In 2014, he was awarded the most reverend SRA (Social Reform Activist) title by the United Nations Organization committee on Human Rights and Environmental Control for his outstanding investigations and pragmatic Human Rights write-ups and efforts in students Rights activism. Adamidenyo has undying interest and passion for human Rights which has led him to numerous student right violation cases victory in recent times.

As a humanitarian, he has volunteered for so many organizations like the Justice Vault Foundation, the Think Tom African Initiative, the TLI ( The legal Issues) editorials were he was the secretary of the Editorial board and so many more too numerous to mention.

As a cosmopolitan Nigerian Law student, he served as a member of the Lawsan Editorial Board(2018-2019); Pioneer Secretary General Federation of African Law students Nigeria (FALAS) (2020-2021); South South Zonal Director Lawsan Directorate for Student’s Rights (2021-2022); Editor in chief Lord Denning campus chambers. Owing to his outstanding leadership qualities and sterling personality, George was conferred with the OOL title(Officer of the Order of Lawsan) from the Lawsan National body (2021).

As a law student of Delta State extraction, he served as the first campus Coordinator of the Delta State Law student’s Association of Nigeria (DELSAN) AAU Chapter (2021-2022) and currently is the National Director for Mobilization of same Association. He also is the current special adviser to the Deputy senate president of the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU).

Generally, Adamidenyo has flare for Administration, Human Rights Law and Corporate law practice which has led him to intern at the G.K Gadzama LLP and Chevron Nigeria. The learned Justice of the AAU-SUG Supreme Court has some legal articles to his credit and is well appreciated for his versatility.

Simeon Akala

Simeon is the Director of Simplex Academy, Nigeria.

He served as the DPC, Academics of Dele Igbinedion, Campus Chamber, and he is currently the Editor-in-Chief of LAWSAN, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, also he is the President of Owan Student’s Association, Ambrose Alli University Chapter.

In 2021 he was recognized as an outstanding law student by Legal Eagle Initiative & L.M.T. He has authored two handbooks on different areas of law, dealing extensively with advocacy in one; he has other numbers of published articles.

Simeon has penchant interest in Public Law, Intellectual Property, International & Human Rights Law. He has too much versatility in academic research, writing, and lecturing.

As part of his love for humanitarian work, he was a volunteer with Gift A Child Initiative, Edo State, Coordinator of Secondary School Debate Competition held by Owan Project. He is currently a volunteer of Justice Vault Foundation, Lagos.

Mckira is currently the Director at Law Clinic, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; a Parliamentary Counsel at the Student Representative Council, Student Union Government, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; Acting Managing Partner at Igweogu & Co. Commercial Campus Chamber, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; She has been honored with the meritorious rank of the Senior Advocate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; Member Of The Law Student Bar Association And A Registered Counsel Of The Students Union Government Supreme Court and High Court.

Mckira earned herself a permanent internship at the iconic Akindelano Legal Practitioner (ALP), V.I., Lagos State.
She is also a philanthropist and a humanitarian, she has engaged in tens of human rights cases, the most foremost one a Certificate of Participation, Owan Project, 2021, the project was to encourage Cultural and English Proficiency amongst Secondary School Students in Rural Communities in Owan West Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.

She has received many stellars and accolades, a few are Certificate of Honour, Law Students’ Bar Association, 2021; Award of Excellence, as Winner of the GFAM Essay Writing Competition, Bola Adekanle Campus Chamber, 2021; Award of Excellence as Lady of the Year, 2022; Certificate of Recognition, Lawsan Legal Practitioner Privilege, 2022; Lawsan Female League, 2022.
She also formerly served as the Assistant Secretary General of the Law Student Bar Association 2020/2021; Honourable Member of the Law Student Association House of Parliament 2020/2022; Deputy Managing Partner at Lord Denning Campus Chamber, 2020/2021; Parliamentary Counsel Student Representative Council, Student Union Government, 2019/2020.

It is pertinent to note that she did not climb the ladder to success in one day, she participated in a lot of intra-faculty activities, which helped her build her skills, some of this includes: Advocacy Summit’s Battle for the Lord Advocate, 2.0, 2021; Certificate of Participation British Parliamentary Style of Debate, CLASFON-A.A.U., 2021; Bola Adekanle Campus Chamber Moot Court Competition, 2019; Certificate of Participation, Lawsan 100 level Orientation Moot Court Competition, 2019; Certificate Award of Honour, Head of Research and Programs, 2022.

In her short time, she has engaged in a lot of high profile political and criminal law cases at both the Student Union Government High Court and Supreme Court, and the Lawsan Jurial Court, they include as the Principal Counsel in Thompson Jotham’s Case (Supreme Court). She has also represented the faculty in quite a number of times in different capacity. The famous ones include: All University Debate Competition 9th Edition, University of Ilorin, 2022; Debate Society Championship, Awka, 2022; the K-RAD (SAN) National Moot and Mock Competition, 2021; The Chukwuka Ikwuazom, San National Moot/Mock Championship, 2022; Advocacy Summit, Nationals, Battle for the Lord Advocate, 3.0., 2022; The National IHL Moot Court Competition, 2021.
She is still a devoted Christian, a dedicated daughter, a loving sister, a delightful friend and a committed member of society.

Ocheche is a law student currently in 400 level at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

She is the current President of the Intellectual Property Law Club, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (a club founded to create IP awareness and sensitize creatives on the need to protect their IP rights).

She also hold position as the Head of Department for Research and Programs at the Law Clinic, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (2021/2022 Academic session).

Towards the end of 2022, She took the LAWBAR examination in the Faculty of Law to enable her become a counsel in the faculty and she came out the best in Criminal Procedure and overall best in the examination.

She has keen interest in some areas of Corporate law practice and she is hopefully wishing to make a legal career in some of these great areas in the nearest future.

On a light note, Ocheche love surfing the net with no direction; chatting with her loved ones; sleeping; eating; reading; seeing movies; etc.

Sophia Ikhile

Sophia Ikhile

Sophia is a 500 level law student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

She is committed to community building and leadership training. She has served in various capacities in which she has greatly impacted the lives of the persons around her.

She was one time President Of Thinking Tomorrow Africa, She was at another time the Assistant Editor of the Mexodus Magazine (a first ever student magazine published for the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma), afterwards, she became the Editor In Chief of the Mexodus. She was also the President of Ambrose Alli University Debate and Literary Society.

In her 100 level days she served as the Class coordinator of the biggest Campus chamber (Bola Adekanle Campus Chamber) and then she became the director of the department of Moot Mock and Debate in that said chamber. The list of her achievements are too numerous to mention.

She has a thing for human resource development.

Sodiq is a member of the 400 level constituency, Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

He is the current Deputy Principal Counsel at Dele Igbinedion Campus Chamber; he is a Judge of the Students’ Union Government High Court; A one time Secretary General to the LAWBAR, Ambrose Alli University Chapter; A one time Director of Academics Lawsan south-south; A one time Director of Moot and Mock competition at Dele Igbinedion Campus Chamber.

He has participated in several Moot and Mock competitions including representing Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in the moot and mock Face-off organized by Benson Idahosa University, Benin-City. He also represented the Class of Legal Erudite in the Clash of Titan Moot and Mock face-off.

He was the First runner up in the Bola Adekanle 100 level Moot competition; a Participant and representative of the Dele Igbinedion Campus Chamber in the inter- Chamber tussle Moot/Mock Trial Competition organised by Bola Adekanle Campus Chambers 2019; Dele Igbinedion Campus Chamber male counsel of the year, 2019/2020.

Sodiq is a scholar par excellence. He recently received a meritorious scholarship award from the “Class of 1998” of the Faculty of Law, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He is a philanthropist, a great footballer and a dedicated believer of the Islamic Faith.

Emmanuel Omoayena

Emmanuel Omoayena

Emmanuel is an exceptional law student of the faculty of law Ambrose Alli university. His excellence is reflected in numerous recognition and capacity he served; a one time campus ambassador for International MUN(Model United Nations); A Member of the Young Africa leadership Initiative (YALI).

Currently, Emmanuel serves as the president of the moot society and he doubles as a justice of the SUG Supreme Court Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He has also represented the faculty at various national moot competitions at different time.

In addition to his outstanding academic feat, he also had the rare opportunity of interning at one of the largest law firms In Africa. He also holds a Corporate and Commercial Law certification from the prestigious university of Illinois, USA, a certified mediator from the mediation academy South Africa.

These positions and certifications have allowed him develop his leadership skills while also expanding his knowledge of legal procedures and intricacies of advocacy.

Lawson is a 300 level law student, at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

He is a successful YouTuber with over 49 thousand views and 5.1k following on Facebook, he is a published author of a book called “Complete Balance (Academics, social life and spirituality)”.

He is a speaker and prolific writer, he is the current director of moot and mock at the Dele Igbenedion Campus Chambers. A solicitor of the Ambrose Alli University student bar, and a One time counsel of the office of the attorney general of lawsan Ambrose Alli University Faculty of law.

He was also a one time treasurer of the Ambrose Alli University Moot society. He is currently the clasfon general class coordinator. He co-hosted a life changing webinar “Alfa A’s, Advocacy, Academics A law student and more”.

Lawson Bakweri also participated in different competitions of which he was outstanding and they includes
winner of the law clinic essay competition 2020; winner of Hon. Justice Akhigbe Campus Chambers British paliamentary debate 2020; Joint winner of the clasfon paliamentary debate 2021; first runner up at the lawsan moot competition 2019; and lots of other wins .
He also was outstanding as team able at the battle for lord advocate 2.0 moot competition and was an exceptional prolife advocate as a penalist in the just recently concluded legislative summit 1.0.

He is a counsel who knows the law, a lawyer who knows the lord and A PASTOR.

Samuel Titim

Samuel is a law student, writer, researcher, tutor and professional in politics.

He hails from Bolou Apelebiri, Patani LGA of Delta State. He did his primary education at Ogubo-Alom Primary School, Kpakiama in Bomadi LGA of Delta State and moved to Government College Ughelli, in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State for his secondary education. To further his education, he is currently studying law in his utimate level in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.

Samuel has shown keen interest in politics and this he has demonstrated in active unionism since 2018 when he was elected to represent public law department in the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria House of Parliament (LAWSAN HOP) AAU chapter, in the 2017/2018 academic session. In 2019, during the 2018/2019 academic calendar, he was re-elected for a second term to represent the department of Jurisprudence and International Law in the LAWSAN HOP.

In 2020, during the 2019/2020 academic calendar, he was elected as the Assistant Secretary General of National Association of Delta State Students (Nadesstu) AAU chapter, and doubled his capacity as he was appointed as the Registrar of the Ambrose Alli University Student Union Government High Court, due to his fair performance in his two term at the LAWSAN HOP. In 2020/2021, he was the President of Patani Local Government Student Association (PALGSA) and left office 2022. He is currently the National Deputy Senate President of National Association of Delta State Students (Nadesstu) Worldwide and in double capacity as the Majority Leader of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria House of Parliament (LAWSAN HOP) 2021/2022 academic session, representing his department having been re-elected for a third term.

In the face of active unionism, Comr Samuel Titim has also proven to be a student with high academic standing, as he has been doing well in his studies and known for tutoring junior students and colleagues.

EHIZOGIE is a 500-Level student of Law at the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Ekpoma. The premier Editor-in-Chief of the Mexodus Magazine (publication of the Student Union Government of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma), Ehizogie is the Founder and Lead-Servant at Thinking Tomorrow Africa Initiative, a student leadership nonprofit organisation focused on raising grassroots youth leaders with a pan-African mindset targetting a more secure, socioeconomically viable Africa. In his first year as an AAU student, he instituted and facilitated “Fun Law-vaz”, a digital study platform, which impact was virally felt particularly by 100-level students of the 2017/2018 academic session. Its exam-focused materials offered free of charge to every student, has remained academically relevant to this very day.

The same year 2018, his essay, “Peace Begins With You”, received an award in the #PeaceWriteNow National Essay Competition organized by the Republic of Ireland Embassy in Nigeria.
In 2019, he led Team-AAU with the project, “Bookbukka” and was shortlisted for the Union Bank Campus Innovation Challenge.
In 2020, Ehizogie convened the “Stay At Home Debates” (SAHD) a digital British Parliamentary Style debating competition, to engage African University students during the lockdown and was thereafter appointed a Member of the Planning Committee for the 2020 Pan-African Universities Debating Competition.
In 2021, he floated Thinktom Academy to render qualitative exam- focused lectures to 300-level Law students transiting from the Computer-Based-Exam (CBT) to Paper-Pen-Type (PPT). He was Faculty of Law’s choice for the botched 2021 SUG Presidential elections and championed peace pacts by the University leading to successful elections the next session. His literary reflections on the #EndSARS protests won the 2021 Francis Ibhawoh Foundation’s Essay Prize.

Emerging President of the Ewu Progress Foundation (EPF) in January 2023, Ehizogie is the pioneer General Secretary of the community-based nonprofit organisation with core objectives geared towards a socio-economically reliable Ewu Kingdom, Edo State, Nigeria.
He was one of the 270 Campus Directors of the Millennium Fellowship 2021 cohort.

His essay emerged 1st position out of 5228 entries in the 2021 EFCC Essay Competition, entitled: HOW TO FIGHT ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRIMES TO MAKE NIGERIA GREAT AGAIN.

Ehizogie is the only student-member of the statutory Students’ Disciplinary Committee of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

Awulika is a 500-level student at the Faculty of Law, at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

She is currently one of the Judges at the SUG High Court, Ambrose Alli University.
She has held other positions in the faculty such as Head of Department, Freedom of Information Unit of the Law Clinic, Ambrose Alli University, and was once her class coordinator at the Law Clinic too.

Awulika was also once appointed as a campus ambassador for THE JURIST; an International virtual law program during the COVID lockdown.

Joy A. Hadome is a student par excellence who believes so much in hard work, audacious faith, and consistency.

Her hobbies include updating her library, discovering a lot of new things on the internet, and being creative with her imagination.

Godfrey Oyaka also known as Suleiman Odiamu Godfrey (SOG) is the second son and third child of twelve in a polygamous home. He was born on Wednesday 26th of June to Mr Suleiman Oyaka and Mrs Comfort Oyaka of the Royal House of Alla-Odiamu Community, Ifeku-Island in Esan South East LGA of Edo State, Nigeria.
